Tim Howells became pastor of Bethel back in June 2010. Tim is married to Karen and have two boys, Daniel and Jacob. Both he and Karen are Welsh but have spent some time living and working in Bournemouth. “The opportunity to come into the ministry and move back to Wales is one we were both very excited by, and one which has not been a disappointment. Bethel is a great church, fantastic people who love and care for one another deeply, and who demonstrate the importance of serving, supporting and encouraging each other to live out lives of faith together, exercising the reality of Jesus Christ and the Gospel message in and through their lives.”
Tim previously worked in the professional football market for over 20 years, working with premiership and football league clubs and players, an environment which he describes as fantastic to work in and often surreal. Tim’s passion and motivation is Jesus and His Kingdom, his responsibility at Bethel is to bring vision, preaching and teaching as well as develop external church relationships. Working under the accountability of a national church body and local eldership, he strongly believes in team ministry and functions ‘first among equals’ within the leadership team of the church. Tim loves days out with the family, all sports, music, reading and preaching, and is a big Manchester City fan!
